  • Escalation in Israel‑Iran conflict:

  •  Israel launched Operation Rising Lion, targeting Iranian nuclear and military sites, including Natanz, in strikes that killed at least 78 people and injured over 320. Iran retaliated with missile and drone attacks on Israel, causing additional casualties and temporarily disrupting international flights, oil, and gold prices

  • Top Iranian adviser killed: Ali Shamkhani, senior adviser to Iran’s supreme leader, was killed in the Israeli strikes UN Security Council emergency session: Held amid growing global concern
